Why My choice
Built by a tech who wanted it done right not just done fast
Alex Troyer grew up on a family farm in Champaign County, working with his hands and watching relatives run their own businesses. He studied engineering, then trained in HVAC, and spent a decade in the field as a service tech and lead installer before starting My Choice in 2022.
The idea behind the company is simple: give homeowners the same documented, plain-English findings a good engineer would want for their own home — no upsell, no shortcuts, no guessing. My Choice is family owned and operated, and every job gets treated like it’s being done for a neighbor.
