A Village Plan That Still Shapes The City
New Albany’s story began in May 1837, when William Yantis and Noble Landon laid out the town between their adjoining properties. High Street became the dividing line between the two original sections, creating the basic grid that remains visible in today’s Village Center.
The community developed around local roads, small businesses, civic services, and the natural corridor created by Rose Run. The first post office followed in 1838, helping establish New Albany as a recognizable community within Plain Township.
That original village center has remained an important part of New Albany. Today, the Historic Village Center connects with Market Square, civic buildings, shops, restaurants, the library, and Rose Run Park, creating a walkable center within a much larger residential community.
Modern New Albany extends well beyond its historic core. Established neighborhoods, larger homes, newer construction, business developments, and extensive parkland all contribute to a housing mix where HVAC systems can vary considerably from one property to another.

HVAC Service For New Albany Homes
Different Properties Can Need Different Solutions
Historic & Established Homes
Properties around the original Village Center and established New Albany neighborhoods can have older ductwork, remodeled spaces, replacement equipment, or additions that change how the HVAC system performs.
Larger Modern Homes
Newer and larger homes can place different demands on heating and cooling equipment. Proper sizing, airflow, zoning, duct design, and system controls all matter when comfort is inconsistent.
Comfort Problems Have A Cause
Hot rooms, weak airflow, frequent cycling, unusual noises, and uneven temperatures are symptoms rather than diagnoses. We look at the equipment and the conditions around it to determine what is actually happening.
Know Before You Decide
A repair or replacement decision should be based on the condition of the system, not a quick assumption. The Confidence Report™ documents what we find and gives you clear options to consider.

Do you provide HVAC repair in New Albany, Ohio?
Yes. My Choice Heating & Air provides heating and air conditioning repair throughout New Albany, including diagnosis, repairs, maintenance, and replacement options when appropriate.
Why does my New Albany home have uneven temperatures?
Uneven comfort can come from ductwork restrictions, airflow problems, insulation, equipment sizing, thermostat placement, zoning, or changes made to the home’s layout. We inspect the system to determine which factors are affecting performance.
Can you work on older HVAC systems in New Albany?
Yes. Older systems can often be repaired when the equipment and components remain serviceable. We document the system’s condition and explain whether repair, continued maintenance, or replacement should be considered.
Do you service newer homes in New Albany?
Yes. Newer construction can still experience airflow, sizing, controls, ductwork, or equipment-performance issues. We diagnose the actual problem rather than assuming newer equipment cannot have HVAC problems.
Do you install heat pumps in New Albany?
Yes. We provide heat pump installation, replacement, repair, and maintenance, including cold-climate and dual-fuel systems where appropriate for the home.
Do you service ductless mini-split systems?
Yes. Ductless mini-splits are included in our HVAC service capabilities. We can inspect the equipment, identify performance problems, and explain available maintenance or repair options.
How often should I schedule HVAC maintenance?
Regular preventive maintenance can help identify worn components, airflow concerns, and developing problems before they become larger failures. The right schedule depends on the system, its age, usage, and current condition.
Do you provide HVAC replacement estimates in New Albany?
Yes. Free replacement estimates are available. When replacement is being considered, the Confidence Report™ can help document the existing system and explain the available options.
What does the Confidence Report™ tell me?
We inspect the HVAC system, identify the cause of the problem, document its condition, explain the findings in plain language, and outline your options. We report. You decide.
